Is there a method that can grab a screenshot behind a certain view?

I'm trying to blur everything behind a View, but the Blurring Class I'm implementing can only blur its siblings. I could rework the class to use a bitmap of whatever is behind the Blurring View, but I need a way to draw a bitmap of everything behind said view.

So is there any method that could for instance, take a screenshot of whatever is behind a View so that screenshot could then be blurred?
