Move without animation a RelativeLayout (or LinearLayout) to diferent positions at axis Y according value sent

Notify appreciate if someone could tell me how to move a RelativeLayout from a positionY to a lower or higher positionY. This positionY would vary according to the value that would be indicating. People use animations, I do not need it. Thanks !.
