Status bar sync with layout android [on hold]

My requirement is to hide and show a layout(at the top of window) with status bar hiding and showing during immersive mode.Is this possible to animate a layout with status bar ? That means I want a bar at the top of the screen(below to status bar) that will hide when app is in full screen mode and visible when full screen cancel.But it should be hide and show with status bar.So if you have any idea how to achieve this please share.
